Reviews of Rich

Rich just saved us thousands of dollars! He just came by to give an estimate, and instead acted as a consultant, arguing against making certain changes before we put our house on the market. He is very likable, interesting and thoughtful. He was really looking out for what was best for us instead of himself--very generous!

Rich has worked for me and my interior design clients for over 30 years. I have used him to install crown moldings, custom drapery rods, cabinets and even granite tile on a kitchen romodel. He has built a deck for us at our previous home and installed trellis work and repaired deck railings at our current home.
I have found Rich to be professional, on time and a clean craftsman. Therefore, I am not aftraid to reccommend him to my clients or to others.

Yes, Rich Steckler has worked for me on many projects at my home over the past 15 years. Projects have ranged from fence-building, interior renovations, installation of a spiral staircase (a wrought iron stucture), and even antique furniture restoration and repair. He also has made custom wood frames for me to display personal art objects and memorabilia. As you can see, he has many carpentry skills. He also happens to make some very neat-looking cast concrete Tuscan columns, if you can use that sort of thing. (Great for outdoor patios, and I have 3 of them there, plus two more at my front door entry.)
One of Rich's best skills is his ability to critically evaluate a project or task, and provide original ideas which will result in a better, safer, or more attractive outcome. I appreciate that. Then I choose how to proceed.
Clearly, with such a long relationship, I would certainly expect to hire him again, and recommend him to you as well.
